Sharjah

Abu Dhabi and Dubai are quit well known these days, but also Sharjah has a lot of interesting places. Sharjah is known about its famous Blue Suq, New Islamic Suq, Central Suq, everybody has its own name for this indoor market. Sharjah has almost everything Dubai has, but in smaller scale: Dow harbour, the gorgeous creek with it's many green parks, the fish market, Heritage village, Qanat al Qasba, shopping malls, beautiful beaches and offcourse it's famous shopping area Al Wahda street and again much more.    

Suggestion: do the Sharjah - Ajman day trip.

 
 
The blue Suq. The most people call it the Blue Suq, simply because it is a blue building, but the official name is the Central Suq. A very traditional indoor market where you can buy the most beautiful items. The pashmina shawls are very popular.

Khor Kalba

Khor Kalba is the oldest mangrove forest of this part of Arabia with an unbelievable beauty of Flora and Fauna. Crabs, birds, shells live in the mangroves and at the other side, at the seashore. The mangrove stretches 7 kilometres at both sides of the creek and absolutely worth visiting.
